Well, it's Monday! The beginning of my birthday week. And what a way to start the week. I went to a nice birthday lunch at Peter Luger Steakhouse with my friends Christine and Cliff. Nice lunch, but it quickly turned around when I got home. I found a letter in my mailbox from SBS International saying "Thanks for interviewing with us, but no thanks!"

Oh well, I really would have liked the job, but what can I do.

So, Wednesday night for my birthday, some friends appear to be taking me to Benihana for dinner.

Just got home from seeing my nephew in his first big musical production at his school.

He did great, lots of fun.

Well, I had my second interview - it was a 10 minute presentation on AIX Tips and Tricks. I think it went pretty well. After the presentation, they said "thanks, we should get back to you within a week". Keep your fingers crossed.

Saw Thoroughly Modern Millie tonight on Broadway. It was ok, nothing special, don't rush out to see it.

Before the show, though, there was a concert in Bryant Park. A free concert sponsored by Intel featuring the Bare Naked Ladies. Pretty cool

Well I was at Westbury Jeep waiting for my oil change and I decided to call home and check in for my messages. Low and behold, a call from the HR person at the company I interviewed with last week! They want me to come in for a second interview! Yippee!

My interview is on Monday and I have to do a 10 minute technical presentation. I better start working on it!

Well, it's the middle of the week - Wednesday - just to let you know, so far no new word from the company that interviewed me last week.

It's like 100 degrees outside and I am working my last day here at Parker in Hauppauge. My 10 week contract is up. I will be able to come back and do some work if I can get my own corporation to bill them directly. Of course, my lawyer is working on setting that up.

Well! Good news! I got a call today from the HR person at the company I interviewed with! I made it to phase 2 - the background check and the calling of the references. Hopefully they will put in a good word for me :)

Well, just to let everyone know - it was a grueling 3 and a half hour interview yesterday, actually, it wasn't grueling at all.....it was actually pretty fun (am I sick or what?) They said they have more people to inteview. I will keep you all posted.

Well, I had my interview today with Perot Systems. It was a tough interview, and afterwards, I got the "Thanks, but no thanks, you are not technical enough to be an AIX SA".

Oh well, got a phone call, though, today from another company. I have an interview next Tuesday in Manhattan. Wish me luck!

Well, I have an interview scheduled on Wednesday for a real job!
