With two stories added every week, Burj Dubai is taking shape as the centerpiece of a 20-billion-dollar venture featuring the construction of a new district, "Downtown Burj Dubai," that will house 30,000 apartments and the world's largest shopping mall. Burj Dubai already has 79 stories, taking its height to more than 200 meters (656 feet).

Floppy Drive Pan Cam

GPS Hitchhiking Stunt: 50 States in 50 Days
These guys are hitchhiking to all 50 state capitals in 50 days or less. Their position will be updated on a Google Map every 15 seconds, as well as geocoded photos, podcasts and videos. The cool thing about this project is that it's all built using off-the-shelf technology - in particular a $50 GPS enabled phone. Drop by and offer them a ride..
